Welcome to EconHacks
We organized the largest youth-led economics hackathon named EconHacks last year, with over 350+ highschool students & undergraduates from 23+ countries competing for a 230k USD prize pool.
We need more youths taking initiatives to spread the combination of CS and Economics together. That is why EconHacks is transfering to a chapter system based hackathon where we accept chapter applications from almost everywhere in the world. Daniel Prinz
Daniel Prinz is a PhD student in Health Policy and Economics at Harvard University and a PhD Scholar in Harvard's Program in Inequality and Social Policy. He also works as a consultant at the World Bank's Jobs Group, analyzing the labor market impacts of COVID-19. His research interests are in health economics, public economics, and labor economics.
Arora Akanksha
Arora Akanksha is an Indo-Canadian auditor who is running for UN Secretary-General. She is an audit coordinator for the United Nations Development Programme. In February 2021, she announced her intention to challenge incumbent UN Secretary-General António Guterres in the 2021 United Nations leadership selection.
Angela Bee Chan
Angela Bee Chan is the Founder and CEO of Hackathons International. Hackaus aims to educate and create the changemakers of tomorrow. She has participated, mentored, organized and supported almost 500 Hackathons over the past decade. Previously Angela has worked closely with global IT companies and was the Head of Innovation at Schneider Electric Pacific. In her spare time right now, she is #isobaking and enjoys hiking.
Koren Grinshpoon
Koren Grinshpoon was a Columbia graduate currently the founder & COO of EchoAR. He is building a cloud platform for augmented reality (AR) apps with the world's best AR-first content management system (CMS) and delivery network (CDN) to help companies scale their AR solutions.
Dave Bell
Dave Bell is the Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Hackathons International where its purpose is to educate and create the changemakers of tomorrow. He gets a buzz out of helping bring their ideas to life through mentoring and judging of hackathons. He has organised several large corporate hackathons in his role at Telstra as Innovation Lead - Labs and Hackathons. He is living the #isolife right now, with lots of playtime with his daughter.
Yifan Zhou
Yifan Zhou is a recent graduate from the Wharton School of Business and a consultant at Bain and Company and has launched her own startup, BETA camp, a technology and business camp aimed at helping teenagers with their own startups. In her talk, she will talk about life at Wharton, her life as a consultant, and the importance of business knowledge at a young age. She will be one of our panelists!
